CAL POLY
SOCIETY OF ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERS
We are the Cal Poly Society of Environmental Engineers- a Student Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association.
We are a club dedicated to giving students the opportunity to achieve educational excellence through hands-on design experience, while providing networking opportunities with industry professionals. In
the early 1970's, SENVE became a student chapter of the national Air & Waste Management Association. Throughout the school year, SENVE holds general meetings that commonly consist of general and officer announcements, a guest speaker in the environmental industry, and pizza! In addition, SENVE hosts many social events, community service opportunities, and design competitions. SENVE provides its 50+ members with the resources to enhance their education at Cal
Poly, preparing them for their future careers in Environmental Engineering.
SENVE members have the opportunity to participate in 3 different design competitions: a water and energy design focused competition, a water filtration competition, and a mock consulting competition. Members that compete travel to local and national conference to give presentations and display their projects, and usually win many awards!
A membership with SENVE is an opportunity for educational and professional development, as well as a social support system.
